Hi all.
I would like some votes and opinions on my latest mini. I have only just started painting again after a 7-8 yr break so I am still a bit rusty.
I would really appreciate any criticism advice that you can give.

I find taking photos of the miniatures particulary difficult and this is the best one that I could come up with.

Welcome to Cool Mini - as well as the forums, check out the articles section. It will help you catch up on all the new techniques etc. Things have changed a lot in the past 8 years

Great stuff can not wait to see you get in the groove, the boots are superb IMHO I like the leather very much.
I like the freehand on the bottom of the cloak it is clean and nice, not quite as sure of the interior pattern with it though.
The sword is also done very very well I like it very much.
Few more highlights on the cloak and you will be popping 8\'s in no time and that is not easy here, what a great start up.

love the free hand mate, the nmm is very nice as well.

i thought the cloak needed to be smoother with the blending and the shadind not quite as harsh on the face around the cheek bone. (it is propbable the angle the photo was taken at tho)

instead of trying to get one shot with as much detail as possible, try taking a couple of pics from different angles and then put them together.

Mate if thats what you paint like when your rusty I cant wait to see what you can do when you get in the swing. I think you can tellyourself that some of the blending is a bit rough and more highlights on the outer cloak but other wise a great paint job. Love the free hand. Did the vote thing.
