Now this must be some part of UK folklore that I\'m completely unaware of ...

Its a British TV show - usually shows up on the American side of the pond on PBS (cant really say on this side of the pond since I\'m farther east than most of the Brits here, now can I) Rather funny, about the staff of a department store called Grace Brothers - and full of double entandres about Mrs Slocums poor pussy.

Oh no! My little kitty scared Evil Dave! lol

Ok, one more picture to enhance the effect:

0005.jpg

Is that a natural breed or one of those specially bred cats (Such as cats with very short legs so they can\'t climb on the furniture - detestable practice breeding genetic deformaties to suit our lifestyles!)

Well I figured I would show off all of my babies! warning, this is a two part post..
First, Moki, my baby, have had him longer than some of my children! He broke his back a couple of years ago, thousands spent on emergancy back surgery, 6 months in a doggie wheelchair, physical therapy. And he is one agian whole and hearty.
Moki.jpg

Mittens our 7 toed cat, Absolutly the stupidest animal I have EVER seen, my kids say that the grey spot on her head is where her brains are leaking out...
Mittens.jpg

Bambi, my oldest daughters cat, although you cant tell her that, she is firmly convinced that I am hers.

Stay tuned for part two...

@steelcult: I thought so -- that it must be some kind of TV show. Thanks for the enlightening me on the subject :)

@Sturmhalo: they say that there used to be such cats in ancient times. Still, the contemporary history of sphynxes begins around 1960-ies, when people would find kittens born naked due to some sort of a mutation. And so they started breeding those cute little mutants untill the Canadian Sphynx breed was registered with organizations like TICA (The International Cat Association) and recognized by them. Basically, this is the story.

Your Bambi is the exact copy of my Floppy

@Margo
Sphynxes are really useful for a painter... no more fur glued on the finished miniature just sprayed with the sealer :D

seems that 80% of painters are cat-lovers

Hmm, well I guess I am the first with a non-mollusk, non-aquatic and non-mamilian pet.

Here is my turtle \"lunch.\"
LUNCH1.JPG

this is her sleeping under one of the shelves in my old apartment.
LUNCH2.JPG

and well this is her in her box drinking.
LUNCH3.JPG

I cannot get too many pictures because she is always.

A: hiding somewhere sleeping
or
B:following me to a room so she can do laps all day in that room.

Oddly enough she is a bit on the b**chy side. Giving me ugly looks when I don\'t do what she wants. What she wants is usualy food or out her box but she doesn\'t always get it and just gives me an ugly glare.

My painting familiar and all time general little softie....Chukki.

chukkistairs.jpg

She\'s in one of her favourite places....on her bed outside the PC room while I\'m on the forums. For some reason she loves to stick her head through the railings of the staircase and get stroked. Hence the picture.
She\'s currently undergoing a course of Hydrotherapy, in a heated swimming pool for dogs. Pampered or what? Ah but she\'s worth it. ;)

But we already knew this from mini-painter, didn\'t we? Remember the painting with a catwhisker thread? :)
By the way, I\'ve no pets but if I\'d have to make a choice it would be a cat too. If I wouldn\'t be allergic to the hair that is. :(

A blank canvas....

Originally posted by Dragonsreach Yeah but who are you gonna con into to painting it for you?
Who says I\'d want to spoil it by painting it...

Once painted...it\'s finished...realised..ended...

Whilst unpainted..it\'s potential is unlimited:D

If you are offering though Mike...:D

Mind you...I\'d have to re-mortgage the house to find your fees;)

@Dragonpaint, Post a picture please....
Bambi was a shelter cat we rescued about 7 years ago, so you never know, they might be related..granted the parent would have to be well traveled!

Bambi is kind of a funny cat, for many years she would only socialize with my daughter, then about a year ago she decided I was her person, she now sleeps with me, has to have her nightly love fest, with me, and gets Very upset if my husband gets to \"friendly\";) we have taken to making sure she is not in the room before hand, cause he doesnt like the claw marks!:D
