Ainariël v.2

Hey fellas!

I made decided to give painting Ainariël a second chance after the first one was stolen before it got to its intended recipient. I have a deadline for this project in early April since I was hoping to finish it for the birthday of a friend.

Going to post some WIP images here in the hope of getting some feedback to make version 2 better than version 1

Going with a different colour-scheme this time, darker and colder colours. I am thinking a dark blue cloak, bluish silver armour... black leather?

So far I have been working on the skin and managed to use an old paintbottle which apparently was a bit grainy. Not good. I am hoping it won\'t be too noticeable on the finished thing.

So, here\'s the current state of Ainariël v.2

Any thoughts and comments welcome.

good tone to the skin so far, but yeah you can see (at this magnification anyway) some grains, especially on her right leg

Tried to fix some of the worst of the grain (though you can see them way better in pictures than in real life, I just realized, looking at that image) and put some colour on her. No high lights or shading done yet, this is just to get a feel for how she\'ll look and if the colours work.

Going to keep the palette rather sparing and dark. Dark blues for the cloth, dark brown for the belt and leather details on the armour and silver for the metal bits. Probably going to keep the boots black. As for the hair, I was thinking a dark red to keep it interesting.
