Air travel and paint pots

Hey everyone

I will be catching a plane soon, and I want to take with me some paint pots. They'll be going into the cabin in my hand luggage, as I 'll be traveling light. Now, I know that you can take with you something like 100ml of liquids with you for things like deodorant and similar, sealed in a plastic bag, so volume shouldn't be an issue - I don't need more than 10 pots. Nonetheless, colors being colors and just to be on the safe side, I would like to ask if one of you had any issues in a similar situation. Just to let you know, I 'll be flying from London, Gatwick.

never had any problems and I take my paints quite often, when I fly.
So far I encountered 3 reactions at the security check:
- nothing
- open pack and show that they are paints (especially with Vallejo metallics, on the monitor they kinda looked like ammo :) )
- "ohh you play warhammer"

The best is if at the sec you take them out of the package like you have to with liquids in general. If they can see them in the box it makes the least hassle.
Btw. you can take 1l of liquid, but no container can be larger than 100ml, and to be honest that's not really regulated that well. Once I took a case of vallejo paints (72 paints in the vallejo case, about 1.4l) and they didn't have a problem with it.
