Right after much research and email convos,

reckon this is the way to go:

Compressor AS186 + Airhose BD-24 & Airbrush BD-133 Kit £ 104.54inc

Its the 7th pic down on this page:

LINK

£105 for a compressor with a tank, beginners airbrush etc.

I\'ll then upgrade if I get the bug.

thoughts?

Just managed to get an Iwata \'smart jet pro\' for £100. Its boxed and as new but off ebay!

Pretty pleased with that, Now all I need is an airbrush to go on the end of the hose!!

Dangerous when wet
I have the BD135a (not really sure what the difference is between that and the 135 but hey)

Really liked it. I've already said that, but it's important to note that I ordered new needles from that site on wednesday when this thread caught my attention, and they came this morning. That's quick service.

The 135 I notice only has a capacity of 2cc, is that likely to be problematic. The rest have larger cups of at least 7cc.

I've no idea how much paint I'll be using (bear in mind I'm basecoating and doing camo patterns as use 1)

Also any of you guys with experience live withing an hour of Berkshire UK - I might try and badger someone into giving me a brief beginners lesson if you're willing....

:)

(pm sent to GPA already...!)

our of interest, why the 180 over the 130?

Is there much difference in quality between two which are at the lower end of the scale?

I was thinking of a cheaper one, like the 130 or 132 with a spare needle from the outset.

For those who\'ve lost the link we\'re talking about brushes from this site:

http://www.airbrush-pro.co.uk/index.html?target=dept_118.html&lang=en-gb

as cheap brushes to learn with.
