Airbrush for basecoating*

I'm swamped by the large amount of adverts for airbrushes and all their amazing uses.

I'm looking to pick up an airbrush simply for basecoating 40k minis. I just would like to achieve a nice smooth basecoat without laboring for hours with the brush.

Anyone have some brands they enjoy using just for base coating?

Cost isn't really an issue, but needlessly spending extra for something that will only be used to achieve nice basecoats seems a bit off-putting for me.

Thanks!

I'd consider an external mix single action like this one:

or the Aztec.

But for the money you are going to spend on a compressor, a decent dual action is not that much more than either of those:
Iwata Eclipse
Paasche VL
etc.
