so,i started to use an airbrush for my minis and was wondering if you guys still use normal undercoat.

lets say i paint a space wolf droppod.
should i still use black undercoat or can i just airbrush the grey on the pod and then another layer of grey?

I\'d prime it, as it will stick better to the paint than to smooth plastic. Even being sprayed it\'s not as tight-bonding as spray primers in my (limited) experience.

Yeah, if you\'re asking about whether to prime first definitely do that.

Then the first airbrushed coat would usually be in the midtone of the colour you\'re going for.

You can get airbrush primers vallejo make one for there model air range which I find quite nice. Or you can get the paint out of spray primer cans and use that through an airbrush.

This guy has a good tutorial for that and some other good airbrush tutorials.
