I thought in most culture, names ending with a certian vowel are considered femanine? Like Alexandra/Alexander, Petra/Peter, and Christina/Christopher
Lots of European/Latin based cultures: yes. In Chinese no. This has already lead to a funny thread over at 1listsculpting. Some people through I was female because of my name (Ming-Hua) and there was a whole discussion about that. Of course this happened while I was away for some time so I only got to see the thread after it had been resolved. So weird! lol
@To Alexi and Margo, I know I already mailed on- and offlist after the subway attack but still I\'d like to again send my encouragements. As Margo says, don\'t let those people destroy your way of life. Courage and take care. My thought are definitely with you in all this.
I hope that somebody will manage to find a solution soon for the area. It\'s been 15 years now and it\'s not getting better. Especially with unrelated terrorists groups starting to work together. Still, they managed to get peace in Lebanon which seemed near impossible so there is hope.
On a lighter note again, good luck to the two of you on Gamesday UK. Don\'t forget to reserve place in your luggage for the prizes.
@Margo: tip from a traveller. When you\'re done packing: make a list of what you packed. When you\'re back: add what you forgot to the list.

Then put the list away and use it as a guide the next time.
