hey guys.

It\'s about time I let my WIP thread go and start a new one.

this is a good time to start a new thread since now is the first time I change company for a while. I am trying out privateer press miniatures for a while now. so it will be intresting how it looks..

this first WIP will be of Alexia Ciannor from Iron kindoms.

and in a not very distant future I will start painting a tharn revenger...

but here we go with what I have done so far.

I LOVE the model... but I\'m not too fond of my work on it though =/

the face is a total mess... I had to strip it once before I got a decent result.

the black really looks better IRL than on the pics.. this has been a good mini anyway :p very teaching mini to paint.

I hope you like it anyway ^^

Nice work. I like the shades of the blood on the sword and the shoulder armour - especially the last because it breaks up an otherwise very dark mini. Have you considered giving the boots, trousers or something else another colour to break that darkness, or is it what you were aiming for? The photo seems to make it quite dark.
The skin of the face works well, but the hair seems a little flat. How about some additional shading and highlighting? (Again: I\'m not sure if the photos do the mini justice...)
I hope you will share tharn revenger with us once it is finished. Keep it up!

Looks nice so far, but the pictures make it hard to see the real colours. Maybe take some more tomorrow in the daylight?

Anyway, I agree with Quareni\'s view and also I think the face could do with some more highlights to make it really stand out, as the colourscheme seems to be dark, so you have to be careful everything won\'t look too dull. The armour seems to be nice but the sword lacks depth, and the blood on the sword does look a little like you brushed it on (but it doesn\'t look too bad to be fair).

Sorry to sound so harsh but I think that this model has potential to be great, but some things are letting it down at the moment.

I am very much looking forward to see progress on this one though! ;)

Cheers,
Tom

yeah... I\'m thinking about repainting the hair... blond hairn might not be the best choice for this mini :p

and I actually did brush the blood onto the sword. it\'s supposed to look like she shopped of a head or something like that. not like she stabbed someone :p

anyway, thx for your comments ^^
