All day long...

Ok, here's the deal. You have an entire day to do whatever you'd like.

No guilt, no other responsibilities.

What do you do?

As a hard-working dad of 2 young kids with a major house renovation going on, what you're describing sounds like paradise. :)

If this is fantasyland I'm taking the jet to Kauai for some diving and dinner. If we're talking real life, probably grab a nice breakfast, play a little golf in the morning. Grab lunch and a shower at home and then work in the shop for an hour or two, make a nice wooden display plinth for someone, haha. Then it's off to crank up the stereo as loud as I want and do some painting. *sigh* It sounds pathetic to put it in writing but I'd still kill to have a day like that.

All I can think of involves needing to know how many "No guilt, no other responsibilities" recovery days there are tacked on afterward!

However, a paddle in a warm sea before breakfast (without fleets of scuttling crabs & fleas & other bothersome beach natives), a pootle about somewhere pretty for the morning (something historical with a knowlegable tour guide perhaps), a long lunch, a snooze through the heat of the early afternoon followed by a light evening meal consisting mostly of ice cream, couple of hours painting on an open veranda in the evening, an hour with a heavy bottomed tumbler & equaly robust ashtray & on to bed (good quality sheets, not too soft). That'd be very pleasant indeed. NO other human beans apart from unobtrusive service providers please :)

If there's a fortnight to come round, it might be tweaked a little ;)

Cheers, B.

All my initial thoughts are of illegal activities, so I'll keep schtum about them.

Take the copter transport down to my dads and drop off the Peugoet he always wanted, and swing by and let my brother have one too. Then jump in the teleporter to visit the friends too far away to visit normally.

Wander around San Francisco. Galleries, good food, lots of good tea, stopping and doing some canvas painting.....................ahhhhhh.

Also in the middle of another remodel. (last room. Then we can start all over....)

But in a couple of weeks when this is the newest, coolest room in the house.....

Up way before the sun with a friend or two.
Load up boat and tackle - pray for a calm day.

Slip out of the port in search of some nice Mahi for lunch.

Stop on the way home at the range.
Sporting clays with the shotguns.
500 yard range with the long barrels.
Maybe even some action pistol.

Home by sunset. Boat in storage.
Mahi on the grill. Something old in a tumbler.
Good friends, good memories, good stories, good food.

After dinner, a round of weapon cleaning with lots of fish lies thrown in.

At some point, my wife will have sense enough to run off our friends....

No other responsibilities?

I'd sip Mojitos by the pool and enjoy the site of the scantily clad pretty women. Then take in a local play out the Shakespeare Festival, and finally spend $50 at the local bar throwing darts and drinking scotch with the guys.

Gotta agree with BPI here, that would be the day I'm looking for, since I love anything involving history and a mild summer breeze!

PS: I now live in Aachen which has everything mentioned above except a sea or beach, so I'm pretty happy right now! :D

would have to be a round of golf in the morning full roast dinner and the afternoon infront of the tv with various films, maybe a painting session in the evening

Oh man, what to do!

Well I'd probably have to have some sort of outdoor music festival. It'd be an awesome set of bands. Maiden, AC/DC, Mettalica, the Headstones (Re-united at last!), that kind of thing.

All my buddies would be there, and there'd be beer a-plenty. Maybe a two wizards staff kind of a day. It'd be bitchin!
