I think CMON members had pretty good representation at Gamesday in Chicago.

Not only did DennisMech win a bronze, but Herb the Bitter won GOLD! for best battle scene.

WAY TO GO!

My winning entry is pics 46 and 47. Sorry I don\'t have any pics myself. I don\'t know if James\' entry is pictured somewhere in there.

Congratulations!

That battle scene really caught my eye last night when I first saw the photos go up. I did not know it was yours or that it had won the gold, but it was obviously beautiful work.

That is one well-earned gold!

Actually the idea was(or at least was supposed to be) that the dwarf on the giants back ran through the snow and used the stump as a springboard to leap onto the giants back. Don\'t know if you can see it or not, but there is a footprint in the snow on the stump.

Congratulations, one of the best battle scene I have ever seen.
Looking at the traces in the snow you can really follow the action!

Really cool scene, the snow is fantastic, what did you use for it?

For the snow I glued two sheets of foamcore(with the paper removed) together, then gouged out the footprints, and then glued Woodland Scenics snow over it.

Great job man! The snow is wonderful, and the subtle touches like the dropped club and the slayer halfway to his head in snow really add to the scene. You can almost hear the Giant bawling in pain. Well deserved Mr. Bitter.

Edit: Thanks a tonne for the pics. Ben Bishops Slayer Sword winner is incredible. That guy has made one heck of an impression this year.

Wow!

I had a brief look through the GD pics on a couple of sites tonight and the 2 things that stood out for me were the \"Wasp marines\" and the Giantslayers in the snow!

Now i find out that they were painted by the same person!!!!!!! Those two pieces are awsome. You truly deserve you Golden Deamon. I\'ll be interested to see the others to see what edge out the marines. It\'d better be good!!

Congratulations again.

Now i\'m off to look at you gallery........I may be some time!
