All night painting session

There is an all night painting session for the release of the new warhammer box set on Friday at GW Newcastle, i was just wondering is any one who comes on these forums going? Iv put my name down, so im bound to be knakered for the big saturday game there hosting! lol

Well im going for this now! Guna get me hands on the new Warhammer set and rules! And lots of free cake!! WooHoo!! Il prob be back on bout 5am!

Well just got back, apparently i was in the group of people that were getting their hands on the game first in England, because no other GW\'s were doing this all night thing. I managed to swap my dwarfs for more Gobbo\'s so for £40 i have a 1000pt gobbo army and a rule book, which in my eyes is well worth the money.
Only thing is i managed to paint one troll in about 6 hours, watering down my paints aplying thin layers, bringing up the blends and adding washes. Out of about 30 people including staff i only seen a few other person added water to thier paints. These people were painting them according to the White Dwarf guide recently published! They were getting about units painted in 6-7 hours!
I also icked up a limited edition gobbo fanatic for 7 quid, dunno if il even open it cos im not that bothered about it, but everone was going crazy for them!
So all in all i have seen 4 games workshop masters paint sets and ALOT of geeks!

Alot of geeks is what this hobby is all about and Vike your right If I was all of those things and in a foriegn country I probably would go there either...... :D

Meh, I picked up the fanatics today, theyre not all that special really. The old gobbos had a sh!tload more character than these ones...I\'m pretty unimpressed :(
I say buy the older ones :]

what table where you on ?

As to the comment about water not being added, thats rubbish, I mainly added glaze medium but did also add water, and most people on my table did the same.

Also the amount of units painted is also rubbish, i managed to paint 2 dwarfs all night ! yes slow, but they look ok :)

Also alex boyd was there < does illustraions for GW > and he also only painted 1 mini :)

you have to remember this night was set up for new players aswell as good ones, maybe you where sitting with new people ?

Ohh if your wondering who I am, i am the guy who won the Signed copy of warhammer rule book at 3 pm on saturday. < won something at last >

anyway, would love to know if i know you or not, and yes i am very very tired, at GW newcastle 12pm friday, left 4.30pm saturday...... long long day lol
