Monkey island and Loom also hold a special place in my heart because they were the games we got free with our first computer back in 1992. I played both to death.

Mechwarrior 4 was an excellent multiplayer game. I wish they would make a Mechwarrior 5 some day.

As my computer is a mac, I can\'t play PC games :( and I have no consoles either :~( so mostly online games for me :) N is absolutely fantastic, possibly my favourite at the moment, I have got to level 24 :D I also like Bugdom, Bugdom 2 and Otto Matic, Pangea games designed for mac, they are great! I absolutely love worms, but I only get to play that at my friend\'s house because I can\'t find a mac version :( Only 2D versions though, Worms 3D ain\'t so good. In fact, I\'d be very grateful if anyone knows a website where I can get a mac version of Worms Armageddon (or if not, Worms 2) :D

happy painting

I had a blast with the original mechwarrior.

Partly it was because my rommate and I played together. I steered and he ran the weapons. Since the keyboard could only take one key at a time we were often yelling at each other \"let me turn!\" \"let me fire!\".

Favorite scenario was when a supposedly good pilot in a Phoenix Hawk turned coward and ran away. Thing is, ALL of the enemy mechs chased him! My Marauders came walking into a totally undefended base.

The very original mechwarrior was turn based. Designed to run on a 286?
(EDIT: Found it here)

Gran Turismo 1-4
Burnout Revenge
Master of Orion
Civ 4
River City Ransom
ChronoTrigger
Simcity
Command & Conquer

And this old game where you walked around killing things with a yo-yo.

@shawn - Tried it a few times. In my hands it was more like \"Crash Simulator\" :( Never could quite get the hang of it.

Games? Used to love playing \"Yoshi\'s Island\" on SNES. And \"Mario Carts\". And lots of baseball, basketball and hockey. Yeah, yeah, I know. Really exotic, huh.

On the PC I manage to waste a lot of time playing \"Age of Empires\"

Can\'t belive I missed Command and Conquer.

Yo-yo -> Rygar on the NES?

Others I thought of, as I completely forgot sports games besides racing:
Tony Hawks Pro Skater (just the first on, it got tired after that).
SSX (same)
Blades of Steel
Supsertar Ice Hockey (Amiga)
Superstar indoor sports
California Games
Track and Field.
Winter Games (the original EPYX one).
FIFA (what ever year the first one on the PS1 was).
NHK 2K5
Fisherman\'s Bait (still don\'t know why but one of the most addictive ps1 games I had).

My flight sim experience was limited to barrel-rolling a 747 over the sound (if it can be done in real life why not in the game, eh?) and trying to land another 747 using the Golden Gate as the runway. Once you hit the cables and the wings shear off you starting having fun.

I forgot all the new systems, I should just list my favorites of the genre.

FPS. Half-Life 2 Deathmatch & the normal single player and most of the mods.
RPG.(both MMO and otherwise) Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of Time, no match for it except hopefully Twilight Princess.
RTS: Command and Conquer 2: Red Alert
Platformer: The Mario games

Games I can\'t wait for: Gears of War, Twilight Princess, Timeshift, and Prey.

Console: Final Fantasy Tactics and Armored Core (PS, both)

Computer: Homeworld tops the list by miles. The original.
After that, it\'s something of a toss-up, with Stronghold, Stronghold Crusades, Medieval Total War, Shogun Total War, and I\'ve recently re-installed GTA: Vice City again, because I never finished it the first time around.

I dunno. Possibly my favourite games ever are the \'Ace Combat\' range, but I don\'t think they strictly count as flight sims...

The cynical part of me wants to add that they don\'t count as flight sims because they are exciting and very playable...:p

The only flight sim I really enjoyed was also at the limit of my ability to handle realism: Jane\'s ATF. A hell of a lot of fun! I tried Jane\'s F-15 too. Talk about CoMplExity. But all that was years and years ago. I don\'t do computer games anymore.
