Well, thinking back to the video arcade, who can forget Michael Jackson\'s Moonwalker?

Come on! When overwhelmed by bad guys, just hit the music and start to dance!

I played that game more then I would ever actually want to admit. This was mainly due to it being in the Arcade by my High School.

Played a ton of the original Street Fighter and a basketball game called Arch Rivals for the same reasons.

Not really a video game, but found in arcades, was the Terminator 2 Pinball game.

I also forgot TMNT, the best 4 player arcade game that ever was... okay well second to Gauntlet.

Arch Rivals got taken away from my arcade way too soon. I only played a few times but I managed the best move:
The opponent had the ball and was dribbling down the court. My guy came up behind him...

and DEPANTSED him!

Yup, pulled his shorts to his ankles, he tripped and I stole the ball. That was a tough move to pull, but it was very effective. Great game.
IIRC you could also punch the other players.

Oh god, I\'d forgotten entirely about Arch Rivals. Used to blow lunch hours at an arcade and loved playing that. Yep. A guy goes to blow by you on his way to a duink and you just belt him in the face, steal the ball and go. Love it! And you\'re right, vince, depantsing was the best move :D

yeah, and be careful you don\'t get too close to the sidelines. I once had the little bulldog mascott run out and bite me!

Arch Rivals also had that cool feature that let the owner set the team names, so of course the one I played at had all the local high schools on it.

Of course I hated my high school, so I always took them as the oposing team :D

I don\'t distinctly remember the pants move, but that\'s definately the game.

Yes, there is quite a learning curve to them. The modern jet sim\'s are way too complicated for me, along with dodgey instructions, I end up being supersonic target practice for the AI.

The WW2 stuff is real fun though. WAY less instruments to keep track of. The Il2 series is DA BOMB though. The flight models are tough to master but once there, there is a feeling of \'really\' flying the real thing. The Sturmovich, far and away the most produced aircraft of WW2, is like flying a cartload of bricks, BUY man does it have firepower and can take serious damage and still get you home.

The graphics are to die for. When you get down on the deck you can see reflections of stuff in the water!

But, alas, I am a voice in the wilderness...........alone with my flight sim\'s.:(:(

Perhaps I should\'ve tried some of the older stuff then. I might\'ve been able to get some of the WWII stuff off the ground at least. Hmmmm.... Are there any that simulate you getting catapolted off teh deck of a carrier? That might help, too. I always felt that if I could just get the dang thing in the air, I might be okay.:duh:

But now, fun games, let me see...

I greatly enjoyed Resident Evil 4... Both Viewtiful Joes.. otherwise, it dates back to metroid prime 1.

If you like games, don\'t start working in them, it ruins the magic:(

I really want to start to be a video game designer, but, why shouldn\'t I GreenOne? What kills the magic? I\'ve met a few game designers and they are really still into games

Hey Beezlebrush, what UO server did you play on? Catskills for me.

Favorite games? UO, Fallout, Fallout 2, Any Silent Hill game

I played on Europa... I was on it for about 5 years. I\'ve still got the account but haven\'t played in ages and ages. I don\'t even know what the situation is with UO these days... is it still going? It was a brilliant game!!

They sorta died, my friends and their dad were really into it and then they switched from regular paid UO to UO Gateway, the free version. They began to make some changed that killed alot of the greatness of the game. UO Gateway is great though, you can make your own server and stuff, its quite awesome, when my friend had his server up, when people got on his nerves, he would turn them into cats and \'port them into the dungeons. lol. quite funny trying to see a cat trying to kill 7 liches.

There are alot of jet fighter games that fling you off a carrier. Landing is a REAL TRICK on a carrierr in a jet. A prop plane is hard enough, a jet is harder. If you have a flight sim already there are usually ALOT of parameter\'s you can change. If you are just beginning, make yourself invincable - that\'s a must. Some have what is called \'instant action\' where you start already in the air. There is usually an adjustment where you can simplify the flight model. The one I\'m flying now has engine torque, wind effects, complex engine managment, all the gauges in the cockpit work and actually mean something. You can shut all that stuff off so all you have to do is hit the gas, work the stick, and shoot the guns. Once you get on to it, flightsim\'s can be alot of fun. It gave me a real respect for those who did the real thing.

Yet another forgotten treasure which is odd because I was playing it before I posted...

Operation Flashpoint.

Landing on a carrier on that was no to dissimilar to landing on a banana field covered in tank traps...

Ok I\'ve been thinking about this and I have an actual list.

Virus - my first ever addictive experience. I started out not being able to even take off without instantly flipping upside doen and crashing and ended up taking 4 hours to play one game.

Bushido blade on PS1 - No health bar and possibilty of one hit kills made this an intensly nerve racking fighter.

Tenchu (the first one, I don\'t feel the two follow ups were as good). Just so satisfying going through and killing every gaurd without being seen once.

What don\'t you like about civ4? My only disappointment is that there is no completely random map generation. You always give it some guidelines. With the patch it has even been stable for me.

Fizl

Secret Crocodile
Temporary hijack -

For all you silent hill fans (like me) - find the trailer to the film that comes out on the 21st april (and a separate clip as well)

Silent Hill

Apologies for it being on AOL, cant have it all!

The interface just ruins it for me. Can\'t stand the new graphics. I do like the new rules they\'ve added such as borders and religion, but I just can\'t get into the new gui.

Actually, this is my favorite game of all time.

Link to a detailed description of the game here.

As a youth, I walked many times the 3 mile path from home to downtown Lowell, Mass. and back again to play this machine. Never had alot of money, so a single quarter or two was all I ever had to play on ... loved this machine.

Wish I had one.

I thought the jump from 3-4 was pretty intuitive as far as interface goes.
