Alone in the Dark

Here\'s my latest finished paint job represented with appallingly rushed photos but it\'s all I\'ve got so there.

As usual, it\'s an ebay comp entry, this month the theme was \"Alone in the Dark\" and I wanted something that expressed the emotions of that theme as strongly as possible. This is not only my first ever Hasslefree mini but also by far the tiniest thing I\'ve ever painted. I went for a kind of abstract feel to the fire and osl to heighten the drama - not sure how well that comes across.

And yes, myparenting skills have been brought into question by this piece :evil:

Like I said before I love the color variation on the OSL on the ground. You are really developing a style of your own. They eyes are a bit iffy and Billy, love, you need a light box really bad. Your painting is too good to be photo\'d on the kitchen table. PM me and I\'ll show you what I have. It\'s not much but it works. I just can\'t take oics to save my life.

dude thats one smaaaaall mini! the one thing that jumps out at me is the shadow. the base appears to be curved, when it should be straight, also with tthe fire, i reckon i would look better with more yellows than red, with white in the middle. maybe some red then black on the tips. just some ideas, still its a good job for such a small mini

already commented on this billy, but one thing that didnt help for me was the background. is it kitchen roll or something? i just find the spots on it offputting

I actually scored this higher because of the cloth, it\'s just so cool billy, and it\'s so brave to own stuff like that lol.
But the girl looks just like she been incarcerated in that cellar for the last 24 years - so well done.
