Yup. I don\'t expect people to agree with me - that\'s just my personal feelings up there. I just can\'t stand the smugness and if there\'s one thing I (me personally, doesn\'t apply to anyone else) loathe, it\'s following the herd.
Baaaa!
Sorry, but I\'m guessing this was posted from a PC running a version of
Windows
Yep, fair enough, you got me there. But at least I don\'t think it makes me a better/cooler/more amazing (delete as appropriate) person and I don\'t consider it a lifestyle choice/religion, merely a pleasingly flexible tool that does what I need it to do. Much like I don\'t consider the make of my saucepans, even tho I\'m sure many other people own the same brand. Gotta say, I always snigger when people tell me how amazing macs are, then mention that they have a Windows emulator. Well if it\'s so great, why do you need to do that then, huh? I haven\'t seen a whole bunch of mac emus for pcs, on the other hand. Although now I\'ve said that, I\'m sure someone will post a link to one to prove a point.

Seems like everythings got to be \"iThis\" and \"iThat\" nowadays and it really gets up my nose.
Ditto. I especially hate it when they\'re not Apple products so they\'re just trying to sponge off the cachet.
This is more what I meant by \"following the herd\". I\'m glad it doesn\'t just piss me off.

Plus, I love my laptop and my non-iPod mp3 players, but I don\'t feel that I have to evangelise about them to everyone I meet, unlike pretty much EVERY SINGLE mac/apple user/fan I\'ve ever met.
Well in all fairness the Mac fans are rightly pleased by their chosen hardware and it\'s only natural to want to share with the majority, who don\'t know what they\'re missing in most cases. Not much different from Firefox fans wishing to share the love with IE users and few people would begrudge them that
iPods, well, they\'re nice and all but they have some distinct issues.

Just listening to my friend tell me about setting up the music library for her new iPod made my brain hurt. Oh, I do use FF, but I don\'t particularly evangelise about it because frankly I believe that quality should speak for itself. If the product can\'t sell itself without needing me to tell everone I meet how great it is, then I think that product has problems. I also doubt I\'d change anyone\'s mind by getting all in-their-face about it, but so many mac users try to explain to me \"the error of my ways\" that it has the reverse effect. As you can see.
But anyway, do you have any alternatives to iTunes? Because that\'s what I asked in the OP. I\'m not really interested in anything else - I won\'t change your mind as to your choice of home computer, and you surely won\'t change mine. End of.
