Drink.

I\'m curious.

(1) Why do people call Dreadnaughts Cybots now. The name sound very juvenile.

(2) Why are people still complaining about sniping?

It looks like it\'s been airbrushed, and frankly, I don\'t really like it - but that\'s just a personal preference...
I am sure if I could see the model up closer it *might* get a 9, but even then, it would be hard pressed.

No, sorry it was no airbrushing...

Here is how i have done the Armour: Black Priming (for dulling all colors), then a diluted basecolor: Vallejo Skyblue 961 with a little bit Vallejo Andrea Blue 841 mixed, thinned 1:3 with destilled water. Here 3 thin layers. Both colors covers well enough, so no problem with the black priming.

(Highlights and Shadows was done as Washes)

Then more and more Vallejo Pale Blue 906 and Vallejo Flat Aluminium 993 to the basecolor. The highlights thinned 1:8. On the highest point pure Flat Aluminium (this is a very soft whithe).

Shadowing was done with more an more Vallejo Hull Red 985 to the basecolor, thinned 1:12 with destiled Water. On the highlights i have used 20 layers and 14-16 on the Shadows. After all i have used a glaze from the basecolour 1:12 thinned, 2-3x over the armour to soften the Colors.

Sorry, that you don´t like the color, but you´r right with photos you can rise and fall a mini.....

Many Greetings

because \"cybot\" is the german (french? spanish? italian? dunno about that) name for dreadnought
its not a german term but i guess the management thought that the pronunciation of \"dreadnought\" would be too hard for all the 12 year old children -_-

Hi Mark,

Some responds in this thread has been a bit harsh, which I think is due to the very extensive discussions that has been about scores on this forum. I suspects some people didn\'t read all what you wrote either. From what I can read the problem is this:

Your scores have dropped rapidly on several minis and you suspect that you are targeted by some or several people. You wrote that one of your minis got downsniped from 8.6 to 6.8 when it allready had 236 votes. And you want to know if you\'re doing anything wrong.. if you have made anyone upset.

If there are sniper/s who leaves anynomous mails.. then I think you allready have the answer. Somebody doesn\'t like what you do or have done in some aspect and have decided lower your scores. The reason why can only be answered by those individuals. It can be all from jealousy to other issues with what you do or your person.

You should probably have kept your minis that was sniped and then asked the same question. Then it it would have been clear that you were being deliberately targeted, and that was what this issue is about. For example an abnormaly high Votes/views value. (another aspect is that this site has a more or less functioning anti-sniping script that seems to step in now and then.. maybe you were to quick to remove your minis) As it is now we are looking at a very nicely painted dreadnought but which I for one can find several reasons for being scored 8.9.. Myself I voted a 9.

All the best, Sven

Avelorn@ Many thanks !

Yes i was so frustrated, with all, that i have deleted all of my old minis, perhaps to fast. I was then thinking about to leave coolmini. This was not only one or two minis, it was a lot....

Then i make a decision (hope that word is right) and posted on more Mini (The Cybot).
