Man urinates his way out of avalanche

Hot on the heels of the tremendous news that beer can help fight cancer, we are delighted to report that a Slovak man trapped in his car by an avalanche urinated his way to freedom after working his way through 60 half-litre bottles of beer.

According to Ananova, Richard Kral was off on holiday when the snow swallowed his Audi in the Tatra mountains. Initially, he tried to dig his way out via the car\'s window, but soon realised that the snow would fill the vehicle long before he could break free.

Mercifully, he had stocked up on essential supplies of alcohol and quickly formulated a cunning plan: \"I was scooping the snow from above me and packing it down below the window, and then I peed on it to melt it. It was hard and now my kidneys and liver hurt. But I\'m glad the beer I took on holiday turned out to be useful and I managed to get out of there.\"

Rescuers eventually found Kral staggering drunk on a mountain path four days after his ordeal began. ®

wouldnt it be more effective to melt the snow with the beer? even if its cold it would still melt it.

interesting story, he still seems pretty clever though (compared to me anyway ), I\'d have probably accepted my fate buried in the snow and drunk all of the beer anyway , hey might aswell make the most of the situation.

That\'s like the bloke who drowned in a vat of wine..it took a whole hour. It would have been quicker, but he had to get out five times for a p1ss

That would be most entertaining to say the least! I suppose if you held it long enough you might get some distance on the first shot.

Well, that depends. What kind of beer was it? I mean, if it was Bud Light or something, then I\'d rather pour it out anyway. New Belgium Abbey, on the other hand...

And, of course, if it was Guinness and he poured it out, I believe there are many who would likely have simply shot him and put him back in the snow. lol

Yes- we are talking american beer here. Canadian stuff can peel paint. Molson exports one that is stronger than some wiskey.
There are a couple of real nice yank beers though.
