Another of my GDLA 07 entries, and this one was special to me, because it was a remake of my paint aid ogre. That one always bothered me because there were parts I just didn\'t like (notice you never saw a photo of his back), due to the short time line I had to finish him. So this was a bit of an indulgence to just take my time and do him as I wanted. Was fun!

Thanks,
Eric

PS sorry about that darn reflection on the front of his hammer, for some reason I picks that up in every shot I try! :(

I think thats a hole in the rock and you are looking at the back ground.

Love this Guy Eric. Awesome job. Very characterful. Then again I liked your other one as well.

Cheers

Another awesome model sir...
love him the gnoblars work so well..I can tell from looking at the photos that there is a lot more to appreciate about this guy in the flesh ..

That\'s got lots of character. My painting doesn\'t look half as smooth looking at about 2 feet away as yours does in the large pictures. I think I need lots more practice. :D

I love the gnoblar trying to hold up the hammer, or whatever he\'s doing. It looks like, if he fails, the hammer will drop and squish the other gnoblar. lol

Now that looks rather spiffy :D

What did you use for the big tusks on his back? I\'ve been racking my brains to think of something similar but I can\'t come up with anything short of sculpting them myself

yep, there is a small hole through the base, which is that white spot, just the angle of the photo really caught it

As for the tusks, they\'re greenstuff, here is a photo of the conversion:

Hugh?? It got Bronze. I think the only real drawback on this model was that it was fairly dark...and we all know how the lighting is in LA! I think there were 5 ogres going for top honors...to bad there were only three trophies. It was definately the year of the ogre at GDLA!:D

Looks very nice indeed....I agree, the bigger pics really show it off very well.

I absolutly love the richness and depth of the color....You are truly a master of that.
