Unfortunately, I still haven't replaced my camera, so you're just going to have to take my word on it.

That's her, in the original form... (anyone know how to make the image show? I seem to have forgotten.)

I found the rope to be too hard to get into place, so decided to not use it. Instead, I did some very careful cutting of a good, thick sword from a 32mm mini, and put that in her hand instead. It looks like a very large dagger in her hand, and I'm pleased with it. I think it goes better with all of her little knives.

So far, I've spent hours filing and sanding her to make her as perfect as possible, assembled her, primed her (I used grey, this time, though I usually use black).

I did the roof/base in VGC Terracotta mixed with a bit of black to start, and built up the highlights using VGC Fire Orange, gave it a little brush flick with blue ink, then washed it all with sepia ink, then did a final tiny highlight in fire orange again.
I'm very[/] pleased with the results of that.

The flesh was my project, tonight, based with VGC Dwarf Flesh, and then built up through the highlights adding a bit of VGC Pale Flesh, with the final highlights being straight Pale Flesh.

I'll be taking tomorrow night off of her to work on commission pieces, but thursday, I'll be tackling her pants, though I haven't yet decided what colour I'll be using, yet. I'm debating between doing dark brown or dark red.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Gifts of cameras? :D

All right. I have a camera on loan, so I can show some pictures, now.
One of these days, I'm going to have to get a program and learn to use it to modify the colours and things a bit.
These are just resized, and otherwise not modified, and I can't figure out how to set the white balance on this camera, so try not to hate the weirdness of the colours too much, and just look at the conversion, for now.

I'm buying my own new camera in a few more weeks, but I have this thing until then.

she looks good but could she not be placed so her off hand is onthe roof? looks ok from front but side view looks a little off.

Having one of Andrea's 54mm models at home myself I can say that the way they are 'cut' leaves very little room for easy conversions, even repositioning the feet is a task.

This girl is coming along nicely, the pose does look a little awkward but it is definitely the way it is supposed to be.
Perhaps if you angled the sword arm a wee bit back the pose would feel better? Just thinking as I write now though...

Hello BarstoolProphet.

Am i right, that you made the photo with a strong lightsource?

Perhaps I may suggest more depth (shaddow and hightlight in the Skin). Even when it is dark (or the moon showa bright) such skin has got more structure. But this is only a personal opinion.

The instant thought is to add something to the piece, rather than reworking the model. A roof-edge in front, that the hand is resting on, for instance. Instead of removing/reworking, add.

I think Danny might be on to something there, add a small chimney top or something similar she can brush/rest her hand on and there would be a lot more balance to the piece...

Commenting just on the conversion, as requested:
I like the rope better, but the big knife looks all right.
Paint more and take pictures.
