Andy Chambers leaves GW....?

Sorry if this is just propagating an early April Fools joke, but Dakka, Portent, B&C, & even GWs own forums are all rife with the rumour that Andy Chambers and GW have \"amicably\" parted company.

Anyone on CMoN with contacts at GW (Tammy, Dirty Steve, etc.) have any info to confirm or refute?

Hope so. I met him when I was working for them. I thought he was one of the most jumped up, up himself T***S I had ever met!

It\'s true, but I don\'t agree with Atacam, you probably just caught him on a bad day, he\'s a nice bloke. But lets not get into the \'Andy C-the judgement years\' here, there\'s more than enough forums that are doing that right now.

I heard there\'s an unhappy Mail Order Troll but I wouldn\'t want to spread idle rumours :D

It has been confirmed by Jervis on the Fanatic Board. So he is leaveing, shame too I met him once at Gamesday several years ago. Nice man we talked about the old Avalon Hill game Panzerblitz of all things for half an hour.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Now there\'s no reason for me to read WHITE DWARF!!!!!!

Andy was the backbone and flesh of the Chaper Approved articles I love so much! With one less Ork player (I mean one who does battle reports) I\'ll lose intrest in minutes!
Who\'s gonna take his place?
It was bad when WD lost Tammy but now this? And I was just getting over the loss of the best converter/painter/advice giver/GW rumor link. Now we\'ve lost possibly the best entertainer WD had (I mean he could make an article on death sound funny!).

And what\'s worse, I JUST RENEWED THE SUBSCRIPTION!

Like there wasn\'t before?

I read WD to know what\'s coming out and for painting tips. I feel I have surpassed GW\'s gaming standard and now I just look online for the new releases (heck, I have to wait for them online for bitz anyways...)

My only reason for reading white dwarf is as follows:

-battle reports
-Chapter approved articles
-Generals Compedium articles
-Gameing club articles
-GW \'what\'s comming\' articles

And all of those are written or at least edited/contributed-to by Andy Chambers, and while I\'ve never met him in person he Seems the kind of guy most people would pay to have in their gaming groups.

Now the only main source of entertainment in the mag. might be dirty steve.

Maybe I\'ll subscribe to harbinger for a while.

Sadly I pretty much read White Dwarf as a tradition, bought issue 100 and haven\'t stopped getting them since. Even when I was out of painting I still got WD and waxed nostalgic.

I\'m still going to go with it being laced in coke...no way I\'d be stupid enough to spend my little cash on a usually unspecial mag:rolleyes:

I wonder why though. My hubbie and I were both  to here that he was leaving gw. he seemed soooo, I don\'t know, into it. *sigh* oh well, wonder what they will do now \'cause he will definately leave a void - at least where us lowly consumers are concerned. :(:)
