Well Dennis I've tried my best with the transitions without a glaze going back in with the midtone but I don't want too darken the shadows down anymore I don't want the contrast upped as a lot of the surfaces are gentle curves so I doesn't look right to me to have too sharp a shadow. However I have taken a sharper pic so maybe that helps with the graininess?

anyway I've done the gold sections of the wings and glued them on to the jet pack also blocked in and shaded the steel sections all the work to go on them yet. Just blue tacked the mini together to get an idea of the end result and I've got to say I like the sculpt even more. Just got to try and do it justice.

You know what i think is going to throw you a curve ball? The parchment. Too yellow and it will f up your NMM gold too white and it won't look like parchment. You may have to work some of your shades from the Gold into the parchment to make it work and keep it from being too warm, but still look right. I am curious to see what you do there.

Zab that's what has F me up on the imperial fist I started yesterday. Have to use a darker brown I guess. I too will be interested in how you pull it off.

Fav so far is the chest great focal point. Jet pack is 2nd fav point. I'm very impressed with him.

Started on the wings a lot of smoothing to go yet on them but the light placement is pretty much done. Gone for a steel effect on the feathers. Crit welcome.

Dude you are putting on a veritable NMM clinic right now dude. I am rigging amazed by this. Favorite part is the gold parts on the upper wings. Nice glints going on there. Keep it up!
I am kind of confused because I don't see any parchment on the figure. But if it were me,I would start with a base coat of something bone colored, then get darker as you move towards the edges. So some snakebite, then some scorched Brown, then black on the very edges. If this is confusing, look up a tutorial on burnt paper and you'll see this effect.

BFOK the parchment is the two large ribbons that the backpack balances on,
Andy is this metal or fine cast ? as the iron halo has brewers droop either side .

Cheap! You can have the firstborn right away, do you accept a secondborn and a stepchild instead of the goat and calf?

Skills AND lots of painting time! What a deal. :D
