Been messing about with the base. Going to carry on with the model tomorrow and work some more on the gold easy to do roughly a total b*tch to get completely right.

Well after listening to the Birmingham Bunny Man I've gone all slobbery and added some spittle to the boy. Also moss (bicarbonate of soda and Matt medium) to the base. If upped the contrast of the gold as far as I can and added a pattern to the cloth. all done methinks. Thoroughly enjoyed doing this one and definately one of my best.

Looks fantastic mate, as few spots of orange / light browns, even dark reds in select places on the vegetation will ease down the greens a little.

The whole piece looks in terrific!
I agree with Ten Ball that maybe those electric greens on the moss could stand toning down a bit. Under a dense canopy, I would expect the light on the forest floor to be pretty choppy (which isn't to say it would be uniformly dim).
I like the spittle. The juxtaposition of elaborate, slightly fussy gold armor (I mean, that hat?) and pure, slobbering, bestial rage is delicious.
I also love the detail on the brass foliage. It looks great.
Again, wonderful job and thanks for sharing.

Wile thing looks fantastic but I'm thinking is there enough spittle ? Would someone or thing salivating that much have more strands hanging from the teeth ?

I'd suggest a thin glaze of Satin Varnish over the larger leaves to take the edge off the Matt finish.
Otherwise.............'kin belting mate.

Fair point Gandalf I might stick another couple of strands on. Also Lee yep will tone down slightly I saw it more in the photo rather than in hand but yep you're right.

I was going to save the next one for a while as it's a bit if a treat for me quite a bit more than I normally spend but hey it's too nice to leave to one side. Thor the black label edition from nocturna. I've left off the cape for the moment so I can get to the back. Super sculpt very crisp.
