why snow? You have a very nice spring base going on here. Why not a small stream of water to announce the re-birth of the land, maybe with a hint of melting snow.

Leave it. The warm on the base is a nice compliment to the cool nmm and warm bone/wood colors. At best maybe if you really really want "snow" try the secret weapon crushed glass and water fx and you'll get a slushy looking snow that lets the colors though without overpowering it. I can't have that stuff around be order of The Lady Inquisitor who fears for the health of The Agent of Chaos. Someday though...someday.

Those purplish/black rocks with the red dust are awesome. Snow may work if you use it sparingly with water effects like a spring melt.

i am with milosh. what about water effects? A little stream trickling down the rocks... but with BLOOD! fertilizing the spring flowers that have bloomed early upon the richly tilled battlefield?

Padlocked toolbox, with a warning sign claiming expensive presents inside. Then hide the glass stuff elsewhere, it may keep "Madame Inquisitor" occupied. Unlikely, but worth a try.

Tried the water effects to produce the waterfall and the godamn purple paint which was dry started bleeding into the water!!!! I only added the tiniest amount of purple into the blue in the first place to make it more slate like and when i gave it a wash of grey over the top it went bright purple hence all the warm colour stuff! Anyway gave up and scraped off as much as i could and repainted the stones a grey colour and then did the ice and snow. Cheers lee the water effect plus bicarb gave a great slush/ice effect and then a slight dusting of fresh bicarb over the top fresh snow fall. Love the way its come out like a wind blown hill were the worst snow has been blown away. Going to try and do some icicles when i get some clear sprue unless anyone nows a better way to make icicles?

Looks good, the cold colours all work well so the warm gold draws the eye to the warriors face.
Sproket has a good tut on making icicles .

edit: no it's slime not icicles on his blog.

Nice. i hope the snow stays white some of mine are turning yellow with age. Simple fix really. Leave em in the sun on a window sill for a bit (the summer) and it gets bleached again.

Ok had a go at doing icicles not to bad but the use of my hand is now seriously comprimised what with the molten hot plastic and the bone deep burns! But they look all right :) Took some slightly better pics. Not sure wether to post on the gallery as is or does it need a bit more work name plate or a bit more weathering on the cloak? Wadaya guys think finished or not cant see the wood for the trees and all that.

Andy, if it were me I'd link the snow to the icicles somehow, so that they don't look 'in isolation'.
Tiny touch of snow or water effects as ice sheen would do it.

Oh I love this guy. Are you thinking about some water effects on the base? Like Japanese garden?

BTW I had strange vision the other night of your elephant god fighting Ten-Balls Jungle (cadian?) commandos. What are the odds we could ever see those base to base ???
