Cheers I.

Gonna keep the base a dull green to offset the red as it ties in with the muddy brown and wood and ivory of the skulls. Then pop bright red / gold figure. No doubt the occasional cool blue spot colour probably on the cloth.

Getting there got to paint the bit around his feet and the skeleton hes standing on also got to tidy up the edges and a bit more work on the skeletons. Ive tried to keep the base very muted and dirty looking so as to make him stand out and shine with the magical lava armour.

Thinking of getting an etched brass plate for the wooden stand saying harry the hammer or some such, any one know a company that will do it for not too much?

Comments and suggestions welcome of course.

Realy like this one a bit old and clunky but a realy emotive sculpt.

You was wise to keep the base colours muted, it makes Harry stand out. A brass plate would set it of nice (but not to large)

Good work mucka :)

Done some more work on the base picking out the rocks and painting up the last few skeletons. Bit of foliage and just a lot of tidying up. See what you think if there's nowt else to do will take some final pics and post on submissions.

This may well be one of my entries for Euro; clearly not in their league but you've got to try these things hey? Realy enjoyed this one and a lot better basing than my normal cork and cobwebs approach I feel.

Really awesome. I like how the touch of blue on the shield as it draws the eye to the mini. And i still love the cloak and lava effect.

really nice job dude... like it.

must admit though, imo the style of the previous posted shots, photography-wise - lighter, blu-ish light cast and pulled further back shows off the whole piece better... maybe with some added tightly cropped detail shots.

I hope you don't mind but I've followed 10balls lead here and sized, levelled and cropped an example photo for you, one of these at the top and one of the back and some close-up detail shots beneath in a strip and I think you're good to go...

Photo a tad dark. NMM looking smooth. To mix it up a bit try some blues towards the top and oranges
on the shadows of the silver NMM to get some outside colours on the armour. Very thin washes.
