In two minds either an aged russet gold type effect for the metal and a standard rich glossy style leather effect for the straps and vest. Or go more esoteric and have a negative style glowing power armour you know like cracked lava style thing you see on the avatar of khaine minis. Not sure and may do neither if someone can come up with a better style.

I like the glow effect armor idea but not a ruff lava/kain type more high tech like the new Halo 4 ancient evil chappies

Happy new year andy. Nice skin tones and a lovely blade. Not too sure about the brown leather on the mini's left arm but thats just me. I'd like to see it with a bit more definition.

Great job, have you got anymore wolfens to paint? Voted

Hi Milosh sorry I've been out of the loop ...purple nips all the way;).

Yeah I sure do Will; got a load of em this one was a tester to try out some skin tone schemes ready for the next one which is a shaman wolfen much better casting and sculpt. I'm thinking of doing a wolfen pack so I can enter the SALUTE fantasy squad category as well as the single large scale category.

Being working hard on my salute 2013 entry for large fantasy monster.

Decided to go for a Classic Rackham mini the Ophidian Solar. Got that nice quirky thing going on with it; hopefully it will stand out from the crowd.

Not so much a WIP here as its almost finished but a bit of a montage if thats the right word showing a progression from start to nearly finished, anything you can think of guys would be good.

Cheers guys! Year still alive but in the daddy zone.

Cassar it's done through pointillism a la 10 ball style.
Paint your cloth normaly highlites layered etc nothing new there then back over the thing stippling gently with a mid tone and then in smaller areas with a highlite and them in very small areas right on the top folds with an extreme highlite, there you go instant depth.

Got to give the credit to 10 ball for that who will now shoot me for revealing his technique ;)
