I really dig your NMM on this one. The blueish glazes and rust make it really stand out. :good:

One thing though. The skull on the base looks just like your NMM armor, not sure if it's intended but right now it looks more like some sort of Necron metalhead piece rather than a skull. :)

Yes its intended the wight king and the skull are glowing with greenish magical light this will be repeated across the to be done big base with more glowing skulls.

Great work on the metals Andy, nice use of the reddy/ browns in the shadows. I really, really like the back of the cloak as well. The light/ dark transition in the fold looks so realistic. Also congrats on the Figorne feature, she's beautiful so I'm not surprised it got their attention :)

Thanks darthmarsh I've decided against my normal free hand on the cloak I think it would distract from the lighting on the cloak of which I'm pleased. I've finished painting the mini now his sceptre with osl and shield are done onto the base now plenty of time at wor...... I mean er later on yes:)

Excellent news. You do freehand really well mate but in this instance I think less is more. I'm looking forward to photos when you get back from your incredibly busy and productive work which in no way featured painting

Well it is later on now I managed to finish off the base so here is an update I will start painting it tonight also some pics of the mini.

Really nice, Andy. The red from the rust and the green cloak work beautifully. I really like the ultra-high-contrast direction you're headed during your 'undead skeleton phase'.
Did Picasso have an undead skeleton phase? Think he did, think he did...

Lovely model. The rust on the chainmail and sword give him that 'just crawled from the crypt' look, and the base will complete it. The fur around his shoulders looks like it could still use a bit of work on the back.

Beautiful, Andy! Can you post it straight to my favorites? I love the rich chocolate brown tones and those lovely, softly variegated stones.
It looks to me as it there are a few tiny lines of milliput visible at the margin between the plinth and the construction (on the front as well, not just the more evident smears on the right side).
