I had to look through your gallery, Andy, to determine if this project is likely to become my favorite of all your works. First, you're a hell of a painter, man. Second, yeah, I think this guy is likely to surpass everything you've done to this point if you keep pushing yourself to the heights you're promising so far. Keep it up, bud.

I love the slightly bleary look of that eyeball.
Echoing SaintToad here Andy, you're really knocking some cracking stuff out, and the eye just gives this guy a weary worn down air to the character.

Question:- Are you going to go Leather for the armour as from what I'm seeing you could put some beautiful texture in there.

I see my teachings have paid off and made you the painter that you thought you would never become.

Thanks KB.

this project is going really fast entering the final stretch I decided to go with copper as Sprocket wrote an excellent post on his site here's the first sketching in loads to go yet also after advice from Lee I darkened the red between the teeth and gums.

Cheers lads yes bgc heavily influenced by Masclan having seen it up close at Euro I immediately went off along with Marta to the stalls and bought it. Well deserved gold medal in class it got. (sounded like Yoda then with that grammar!)

yes mike still interested but will have to wait until the end of the month cash is a little tight at the moment.

pretty much finished the metal guard and rivets started the horns a lot of tidying to go on them yet and his earnings need to be done. Got to say this is without doubt the best thing I've ever bought mini wise absolutely loved painting it so damn beautiful.

The colors (textures? doesn't sound quite right) on the horns are great. I also like the little bits of oxidation on the metals. Really fantastic work all around!

Thanks Bailey that means a lot coming from you. Tell you what you should buy it and paint it up you'd do it proud.

Any one who's interested in buying it the maker is Galahad miniatures there's only 150 made (minus the ones that went like hot cakes at Euro ) here's the link

Looking fantastic, Andy! The rivets are just perfect. Obviously, it's your decision how you want them to look, but I don't think the ornamental dragon on his shoulder possesses the same magic sheen you achieved on the rivets. He's really a handsome fellow for being such an ugly mug!
