Cheers Bailey! Yep glazed him and pushed her highlights further. Hair is started and a bit of sheer effect on her clothes (what she has!)

Also some chest and arm hairs for him.

Also toned down the spanking red glow on her bum.

Thanks!

Oistene its a splendid fig to paint. I glued together rather than leaving separate. I do this where possible so I can get a good grasp on the shadows and highlites. Obviuosly he sword is off it just kept bloody annoying me will re glue it later

Looking great. I really like the sheer effect you're doing. It's a nice touch and one I haven't seen anyone do with this figure.

Cheers pall.

Heres some more done on the fig. Belt nearly done. I think I'm into the final stretch. It's been nearly two months painting this guy definitely the longest paint job I've ever done.

Developing nicely, with the great shear effect you've done where the cloth is on the flesh, the bottom half that's hanging free looks a little solid at the moment . Are you still developing this area ?

Cheers lads yes very Swedish hair cut also I'm thinking 1980's footballer mullet cut (I think that just reached Sweeden).

the sheer effect is easy when it's next to the skin but the cloth when it's away from a surface and not pressed tight to it becomes more opaque. Also it depends on the backlighting.

Er we are on a forum that has grown men and women devoting their lives to painting toy soldiers. This is a truly splendid thing of which I am profoundly proud. If the world did more of this then I believe a new golden age would dawn.

But are we not the epitome of Uber Nerd? I mean even train spotters walk on the other side of the road from us trying to avoid eye contact. :)

Stefan I think you where spot on on those hairstyles I was in Britain two years ago and I think atleast 90% of the people looked like that :) the only thing is that I didnt see anyone with "foppa" tofflor (crocs).

While the Anglo/Swedish hair style war rumbles on (I can't believe I said Swedish and style in the same sentence :)) I thought I'd show a little update on the fig. It really is taking ages and I'm going to have to go back over it again and sort out the fine detail if it is to be competition ready. At least another two weeks I'm thinking but should be in time for European Miniature Expo.

I haven't seen this Sprocket v 2.0 where is it give me a link please!

mean time more on Conan, stippling the sword I didn't use this approach on the belt as it has had far less wear and tear than the sword. The sword is a barbarians blade as battered and scarred as its wealder so the stippling is ideal for this kind of surface.
