The freehand I will finish over the next couple of days but the gold needs the engraved patterns need to be done yet so about two weeks I’d say.

Reminds me of a 40K Chaos Lord. The one side is the mutated armor that is a usual characteristic and the other is the old insignia of its Legion.

After two months solid work I am getting to the end of the project. I tried Celtic knots but although they looked very pretty they just didn’t suit the aesthetic. So Pinterest Cthulhu symbols incised around the gold work seem to be much better. Still not 100% on the skull I need a think about it. All in all I think it’s going to be ready for Salute.

Awesome work, perhaps to go along with the symbols you could go with a cthulu skull which hopefully not need too much modifying, lots of references on google for them

Wholeheartedly agreed. That is some awesome freehand that I wouldn't even have thought to do, even if I had the skill to paint what you already had done

Damn fine idea to paraphrase the immortal Bob Ross I was brave and got rid of the skull. It was good but it was off center and it was just bugging me no end. VERY happy with the replacement Cthulhu skull. I will listen to you again Sicks!!

Time patience practice and a mini that you enjoy painting is all it takes. Also doing stuff you haven’t tried before otherwise you don’t progress.

Like it mate. The symbols on the gold need a darker line on one side of them to stop them looking flat. This will be a massive test of patience i reckon !!!
