The duel diorama looks fantastic. Loving the blue armour and the colour change on the staff. I feel out of place offering my thoughts on constructive criticism to such a good painter but the tire on the base bothers me. It could be that it’s not completely finished but the red dust between the tread looks out of place. It’s not in keeping with the dark soil of its surrounds and rubber don’t rust. Even if the tire was imported from elsewhere much of the dust would have come off and been replaced with newer dirt.

I have done more filling in the eye and more work on the red skirt smoothing out the red.

Also just received this amazing base a mixture of olive wood and resin stunning work almost a shame to cover the top with minis it’s that beautiful. Perfect purple translucent tones to go with the 40k thousand sons duel.

Darkstar miniatures well worth a look http://www.darkstarmini.co.uk/

Love it. The NMM looks gorgeous! Would you mind sharing the recipe ? :)

I'm a bit uncertain with the red though. On the one hand it looks really great, rich, juicy and clean but on the other hand I'm a bit afraid it might draw the focus away from the face :/

But all in all the mini still look marvelous!

The NMM work is absolutely epic and works so well with the red girly skirt ;). Is going to look sweet on the Darkstar plinth. Best thing about the plinths is that you don’t have to waste time on base work. The silver and gold swirl bases are nice too from memory.

Good luck at GD! I think the base for the sorcerer looks even better than that trippy resin one you showed prior!
