Gone from little tiny minis to large scale now. The über cool Heimdall by Zabaart. Picked it up at SMC saw his painted version and wow had to have it. Trying to get the skin as good as his version is nigh on impossible but then again he uses oils which does make the blending super smooth. Plus he’s amazing! Anyway that all said I’m pleased with the start to the flesh a lot more to do in the skin yet. Thinking if tattoos and scars etc.

Loving this mini! Working on the skin still. More glazes and now chest hair adding texture and breaking up the transitions.

Thanks guys, the muted palette is all Frazettas work not mine I just copied the master!
Anyway working on the helmet. Heimdall is associated with the ram so rams horn type painting it is. Also gone with super textured look on the metal.

I especially love the body hair, so realistic.
And the texture on the helmet is really something, almost rocky.

Carried on the turquoise theme with the metal mixed with rust. The horns were difficult trying to get that cracked weathered look right. Horn flakes into square pieces weird texture. But pleased with result.

Death Dealer came out real nice! This model looks really nice as well, love the textures! What scale is he?

He’s a big boy at 75mm and even then he’s a bit on the chunky side. Great company ZabaArt produces some truly spectacular busts and minis all in large scale. Reasonably priced too. Check them out some amazing artwork there.
