Here we go finally got it done a real B*tch to paint felt like a marathon for such a standard mini; tried out a compacted snow base lots of feet trampling it down and a blood spray technique I saw on the JB dvd.

Heres the voting link

Hi Andy, I'm going to vote in a sec but I thought you got this guy done fast! I really like the NMM on the sword and shield. The problem is, your photos are overexposed and you're getting clipping on the high end. The glare makes it hard to see the details on the mini. I've found it easier to start off with a slightly darker photo and lightening it in photoshop. I'm on my desktop and on this monitor, I'm getting a bit of a green color cast - but it could be because my monitor is calibrated differently.

Not getting a green cast though so maybe different calibration dunno.

You done well but I can tell your heart wasn't in it plus I'm not a fan of the mini.
Good idea to try out some new styles on there :)

I wouldn't want to vote on this as the pictures are far too small to see any real brush work. Sorry man. I will chime in with 10 ball though and say it doesn't look like your heart was in this, even at his distance there are a fair few bits, like the skin, NMM and hair that look like they could do with some love and blending - given the level of painting I've seen from you this doesn't live up to it.

The skull at the front just looks base coated too, maybe shade it a little for some depth, I'd say the same about the red blood too, it's too constant and pink in colour, it needs more depth impo.
