Angel sanguine

Hi guys. I have been playing Warhammer 40K with "vanilla space marine" for a while now, and found that the new Blood angle fits perfectly my type of play. So having just half of my army painted, I have decided to stip them and repaint them with the Angel Sanguine theme.
It is taking me about less then an hour to paint each of them.

Hope you like them. I got a 5 men squad of assault terminators done and I am almost done with a 10 men assault squad with jump pack.
I have only the bases to finish.

Looking really good for the time, I like the added barrels on the boltguns too. The face on the sergeant is nice. What are you doing for your reds? what are your plans for the bases?

For the red, after a grey primer, I am using my airbrush to aply Scab red on half of the figurine. After I airbrush and other coat of Red gore on all the ligth area and from the ligth source a last coat of Blood Red spraid only from the top and extreme hightligth. When it is dry, I am putting a generous coat of Trakka green wash all over the red. Since Green is the complementary color of red, it is coming out as a brown effect. The hole process is taking me about a hour for ten space marine. After, I am painting with a brush a mix of 50/50% Adeptus Battlegrey and Chaos black, to the other half, higlight the edges with codex grey and finishing with a wash of Badab black. The rest is only small detail.
My goal with this is to have a painted army on the table very fast with a good result. I have been playing 40K for 3 years now, and noting is more fun than playing with a fully painted army. (I am tired of plastic grey space marine) So I came up with that simple and fast way to achive my goal. For the bases I will go with gravel and a little bit of grass. Very simple but with color that will complement the colors on the fig.

Nice Hive Tyrant there Slybarbeau, a good threatening colour sceme. It's a pleasant change to see one without the GW house-style stripes on the armour plates :good:

Cheers, B.
