Another cabinet thread...

I needed to reorganize(i.e. clean up) my painting area in a way to keep the kids and the cat away from my stuff, so I got a table saw and got working. Most cabinet threads lately have been for display cabinets, this is for the pre-painted phase:

It was a fun project and I managed to keep all my fingers which is always a bonus. There were some staining irregularities where I got careless with glue, but it\'s functional which was the bottom line. If you have the resources, it\'s a nice break from painting.:)

Wow!

That is fantastic. You\'ve done a great job with that.

Can you fit any other type of paint in there, or just Vallejo Eye dropper bottles?

I want one! That\'s just what I need. Beautiful job there, Herb.

One suggestion, raise it above your desk so that you can open and close the doors without clearing your desk first.

Or he could leave the doors open while he painted.:p

Mr C wants to know if you\'ll make one for me and how much would you charge.

You could make a killing on these things on the web if you could somehow make them fast and well.

Or maybe Herb is one of those people who always pack everything away neatly when they\'re done with them? :duh:

I actually haven\'t done any painting since finishing(have cleaned some flash off some minis though). I plan on working with the doors open, and then putting everything inside when done for the night.

Since I transfer my GW paints to dropper bottles I sized it for them, however there is enough flex in the dowels to fit the GW paints in the doors, just not right at the ends.

I would be interested to see someone build another cabinet off this design to see what improvements/modifications they would make.

No, typically my table is a mess, so I\'m hoping to change my ways(my wife is hoping too). My cat will be disappointed to discover that my vallejo bottles are not in fact cat toys and do not belong under the couch.

That\'s so cool. I\'m definitely going to make something like that when I move from my parents\' house (hopefully soon). I´ll post picks if I manage to build something even half as nice as yours.
