Hello, TKNY

I think that your work has great potential. You are doing a great job with your skin tones. The shading is good as are the highlights.

What I am having a problem with is the cloth. It looks like there is not enough definition because I cannot really make out what it is. I know it is a cloth but it looks too chaotic. Try to work on better defining the highlights and shadows. If it helps when you lay down your basecoat try shading with some thinned down paint to help define the shadows that way you know where to add more shadows and it will also help see where highlights go.

But not a bad work. Rackham minis are not easy to paint.

Thanks for that advice Alien. I have a history of over-complicating my artwork; I may be carrying that into my mini-painting.

Take pride in your over complicated minis. There are plenty on coolmini but they look incredible. Search for Gamesday orcs on coolmini search and you will see orcs with a boat load of different colors. I imagine that they would be very inspiring to you.

Its got some good work in it. I think if you clipped your pics and maybe only posted 2 larger pics it would help us see the detail better. I agree the cloth could use some more work or even different colors. The flesh and metals are well done tho.

Thanks! :)

I posted the smaller ones to cheat a bit I suppose.

My camera is a bit dated and without a macro mode; I can\'t seem to get the razor sharp images I see in a lot of the better minis here. I also was having trouble avoiding those ugly bright hotspots. I put many sheets of paper towels over my lights! LOL

Here are 2 big ones

Looks like you have really good brush control. I think if you thinned your paints a bit a hit finished models with a little dull coat, you\'d really take another step forward.
