Here is another one from the group I bought along with the beer girl. This figure is from 1988 and is a remarkable sculpt for the time. I forgot to take a bunch of progress photo's so all I have is this one near completion. There is still plenty to do like finish her bracelet and paint some colored beads. It was already assembled by the guy I bought it from and I should have broken it apart and sanded it all down because he wasn't very good at it. I got lazy and just painted it as is and regret it now because I really like her now. I tried my hand at oils after not touching them for a couple of years and was pleased with the result. Well here she is, let me know what you think of her.

Wow, amazing find, and great painting, very smooth. It could be good to add some tanal variations ( Like subtle greens\blues in the shaded areas)
Her left arm looks weird tho... I guess that's the sculpt.

There are indians where I live, it's a damn shame none look like that :p

The finish looks a bit rough in places, I assume that's what you mean about sanding down? You can still see it;s a quiality pj though

Thanks guys for having a look. Green; her arm (I think you mean her right arm on our left) is slightly bent behind her so it does look weird in this view. Freak; yeah the surface wasn't totally smooth. I should have taken steel wool and polished her up before going at her with the paints. She started out just as a time killer and practice piece (especially since I got her for so cheap). I have learned my lesson though. Hopefully get her finished tonight and get after some river trolls I've been wanting to tackle. I keep starting and stopping them and now is the time to get them done and off my bench.

Thanks again!

Very good as ever, great figure nice base. I've never used oils what's the main difference compared to acrylics?

They blend better and tend to give brighter colours. Take an age to dry though.

Fantastic work again. Had a look through your cmon gallery you really are amazing at skin. The viking bust is amazing!

Looks very well done, but the transition between her legs and wrappings are . . .off...not sure if it's overpaint, rough detail molding, sanding remnants...but it's distracting me from the rest of the otherwise clean model...

Thanks guys for looking at her and leaving comments. Cannon; this is one of the places that I mentioned where the guy I bought it from had all ready put her together. I should have broken her apart and sanded everything down then polished her with steel wool. To be honest I just wanted to practice on her and didn't know I would like her so much when finished. Trust me, I regret it now. Thanks Stevey for the very high compliment about my flesh.
