Anubis Warrior Wip (!big pictures!)

Hi guys!

Here\'s my second 30mm sculpt, a warrior of anubis from the mumy returns movie.

I made him much more bulkier and muscly than in the movie, i think it looks much better like this.

Here are the wip shots i posted on créafigs website.
At the moment it\'s 12h work and still running ;)
The hands/weapon are not over.
The back looks weird on the pick, it\'s much better and straight in real.

He looks really cool. But... I dont like the gap between his abs and the rest it looks as if he was starved over a period of 1000000 years and then got pastic surgery. but the rest looks realy cool.

P.S wouldn\'t this be better off in the Sculpting works in progress tread?

well, maybe yes :D in fact i haven\'t seen this thread:(

The scale is 30mm but as he\'s quite tall he\'s 33mm at the moment (38/39mm with the head i think)

I have started working on the head yes, but at the moment it\'s really not worth showing it :D

the gap is as in the film creature ;)

Looking pretty good so far, just a few tweaks that I would suggest,
The top of the left leg appears to drift into the torso, it\'s much better on the right leg and could possibly do with a little more hip.

the two muscles on the lower back look a little overpowering compared to the lats, they could possibly do with a little refinement.

other than that I\'m looking forward to seeing how this one progreses.

Yeah, as soon as i finish the head he\'ll have a few bracelets, a collar, loin cloth and a pharao\'s helm, still much much work to do :)

The only thing I dont like is the cartoon hands. You should put the extras finger in.

Well the hands are not finished in the pictures but he\'ll only have 4 fingers (feet and hands) as the anubis warrior in the movie.

It\'s 50% dolphin grey / 50% chocolate fimo soft.

Still no pictures of the head, but some of the begining of the jewels, i\'m adding little details as you can see on ilyad games miniatures (for the armor parts).

I can spend less time on this one as i have many commission work at the time but i\'ll post pictures as soon as i finish the head/jewels/weapon.

Do you think a tail (like a lizard) could look good? IMHO i think it could give the miniature mort style/balance.

Yeah, I agree he looks a bit unbalanced, a tail would help that.
