Voteringness performered-ed.

Magnificus! But I still think the base could do with something - like you said a scorpion or a scarab...?

Well, still trying to sculpt a 4mm long scorpion that looks good :)
If i succeed he\'ll stand in front of the base ;)

On the whole a very nice sculpt but a couple of points you may want to consider

1)Gold or bronze would be a more fitting metallic colour considering the back ground.

2)Do something with the eyes at the moment they are just black pits. Bring this model to life.

3)The egyptians used a lot of a turquoise coloured semi precious stone (i can\'t remember the name). This could be used sparingly as an accent colour as a lot of what you have painted already is a similar tone.

I hope this helps, overall though this gets a ten foer what you have achieved from scratch and with practise the sky is the limit regarding what you can achieve.

Well, actually it\'s tarnished bronze but the pic is messy.

The eyes are not plain black, once again it\'s the picture.
The are painted black, then highlighted and then i added some layers of tamiya smoke on them to give a very weird look.

Great job did the vote thing. I would agree that the color of the metal would look better brighter bronze but thats just my opinion. Love the sculpt and the paint job.

Thats a shame about it not making the first cut, it truly is stunning.

The only reason I can think of for this is that it does not really fit in with the Games Workshop imagery, and as many people have stated, your sculpting style is more complimentary of Rackham than GW.

Don\'t let this downhearten you though, as I said it truly is a beautiful model, both in sculpt and paint.:)

fantastic and unique. i really like the flesh colored anubis, unusual! typically they are portrayed as black or brown, but this is ace. i think the metallics look nice too, a job well done. it could use that scorpion though. it would be small enough that if you got the basic shape (cephalothorax, legs pincers, curved tail) you could paint in enough details to make it convincing.
