Any advice specific to prep and painting of "Super Dungeon Explore" game pieces?

I just scored the game and wondered if anyone has any tips or tricks specific to these minis?

Thanks in advance!

(I have read through a number of the threads in the stickied post above and continue to read more every chance I get.)

Not really. I can think only 3 that might help though:

- anime style: the surface should be mostly flat and have the middletone on it. The shading/highlighting should be kept to small areas, so the transitions should be fast.
- eyes for the heroes (especially for the females): look up some tutorials on painting 1/6 garage kits on how to do them. Most of the painted ones I've seen capture the feel of it really badly. The eyes from the usual wargaming figures are just not right for them (for the males it could work, but only for them imho)

- dragon... this is the only one specific to SDE. I painted most of it by pieces and assembled after most of the work has been done. But when assembling the pieces don't really go together, you have to apply force to get them to their proper places. If you are not careful enough cou could snap for example the tail in two. The rest of the figures assemble really good with no/minimal gaps.

Thank you, MAXXxxx! I hadn't thought of the tutorials for 1/6 garage kits, that is a great idea. Miniature Mentors mentioned one not too long ago.

Would it help to shave off parts of the joints of the dragon and dry fit them first?
