I want to get an effect like these guys here.
necron_warriors_firing_line.jpg

I\'ve tried emailing the guy, but I\'ve had no luck. Any ideas how he made the swamp slime draped from their shoulders?
Thanks guys!

I think it is probably static grass, lichen, strands of cotton wool or similar material. He would have painted them green, draped them over the necrons then used PVA, water effects or varnish to make them look slimy.

Hope I helped, happy painting!

i\'m with marmoset on this one. looks like some kind of appropriate strandy type stuff glues up and draped over the models.

He did it using the following method:

Necrons
The Swampy coverings were made using the following technique
1. dark static grass from model railway shops
soaked in PVA glue + water
2. liberally applied over the Necron
3. Drybrush Bilious Green
4. Gloss Varnish

Hope this helps
