I would also love to know where you got this from as at the price you stated it sounds like frontiermodels.co.uk if this is the case then sadly they get from e2046.com which is a recaster. I have wanted this kit as well but haven\'t seen an original for sale and recasts are no different from stealing from a sculptor. If you realy want to get into large scale models check out theclubhouse1.net and they will be able to tell you all the places to get original kits from.

I was reading up on recasts last night and I\'m surprised commercial websites like Frontier Models can get away with it. Why haven\'t they been prosecuted?

I haven\'t received the model yet, I got an email stating \"Thank you for your order, please allow appx 28 days as we wait for post christmas stocks to come back in\" so if it is a recast I\'ll cancel my order unless they have a good explanation.

I\'m also annoyed that there was no mention on the website of the item being out of stock. Slow website and slow service.

I\'ll ask on The Club House or Hunters Lair if anyone can confirm whether I\'m buying an illegal fake or not. An article on the Hunters Lair forum suggests that what I\'ve ordered is a poor quality copy that won\'t have the crisp detail of the original, so that would be two good reasons not to buy.

Yep the reason you have to wait that long is that he has to order from e2046 which is in hong kong, don\'t feel bad about being duped by a recaster I brought hundreds of pounds worth from him untill I found out they where recasts, and I can tell you it was painfull to bin it all. The way I look at is I paid 40 pounds for a great bunny girl bust from the sculptor on theclubhouse1 and that money allows him to keep sculpting and produce amazing stuff. It is expensive when you start in large scale resin models but if you look around you can get some great deals, my models range from £30-£250. So don\'t be put of and keep looking around for sculpts you like.

Thanks Gary, where do you get your models from? I\'m having difficulty finding a web-store that I can be sure doesn\'t sell recasts.

To cause me even more confusion, I found this:

Lineage 2 Dark Elf
The price of the one mentioned on the Lineage 2 website is $75... That\'s virtually the same price as the one from Frontier Models. Could the FM one be genuine after all?

The original?

And here she is again:
Good Smile

Price: 7140 Yen or £54/$78
Are 1/6 scale figurines normally this cheap?

Ok after looking at this I think it could be an e2046 antihero or something like it. A lot of Japanese models are made in pvc and pre-painted so recasters will mold them up as resin kits and sell them on. It\'s kind of like a lord of the rings statue being cut up and molded in resin so it can be sold as a kit. If you want to get the best kits post on theclubhouse1.net. All you need to do is state that you want original models and then how much you want to spend, from this you will get lots of help as so many companies and sculptors post there.
Look out for one called luca his username is calvin he\'s doing a superman elseworlds roman bust and it is amazing. I have brought from this guy before and his stuff is well priced about £30-£50 and very big. All I can say is keep the faith and join theclubhouse1.net it\'s like coolminiornot but for larger scales, lots of great people who can help just like here.

Just thought of one more place if you want the anime style kits check out www.hlj.com. The kits come from japan and are all original in the proper boxes and range in price. Hope this helps a bit.

Floor wax! So that\'s what Klear is.
I\'ve re-read these answers a dozen times and I\'m still finding useful bits of info. :)

You may want to look into future floor wax for your water/thinner, because of the size you have to handle turn and glue many parts etc, the future helps keep the paint on in the process and helps the washes effects go on smoothly. Taught to me by a master  smile
