HI, this is my first mini on CMON and my first mini in quite a while. Anyone care to give me some feedback?

I have a 7.8 at the mo. Would love to know whether this is spot on or underrrated.

I\'m quite new here aswell, so i can\'t really say if the average vote is spot on or not. I voted a 7. I love colour, but i think maybe it\'s a bit to bold, specially the green skin. Not sure about the zig-zag pattern on skarsnik benefits from being just about the same colour as the skin either. Other than that, i think it\'s a good job, most certanly if you been out of it for a long while. I like the red around the wart on his nose.

Very nice! It doesn\'t look like your skills suffered while you were on your break from the hobby. Did you want the skarsnik\'s skin to be shiny? It looks a bit glossy, which is fine for the tongue but looks a bit strange on the skin. Everything else looks great.

Great work. You get into the mid to upper 7\'s and that\'s where things are going from good to real good. 7.8 is nothing to sniff at.

That\'s easily a mid-high 7\'s paintjob. I really like your metallics. And the horns. And the teeth. And the mushroom spear. And the skin. And the scales...

Hmm, come to think of it, nothin\' about it that I don\'t like :) Welcome back to the hobby! Your skills haven\'t suffered much, if at all :)

Thanks all.

Gobbla\'s skin was interestingly shiny. EVen with no varnish, no flash on the camera and no actual shinyness I could detect with the naked eye; it still seemed shiny in the photo. Strange.

CMON is a nice community and I have felt very welcome. I shall post up more mini\'s from my army once they are completed.

high 6, low 7, somewhere around that.

Now, I really dont like the bold highlighting on the skin of Gobbla, but I really do like the metals, it\'s just something about the whole picture that nags me from giving a higher score

I think it might be the pic whats letting your score down. It looks like theres too much contrast or too sharp. Nice paint-job. I vote mid- 7\'s a better might get you an 8.00 but i have noticed that its getting harder these days to score an eight.

Happy painting and congrats on your first paintjob for X amount of years! ;)

Yes, I do think the photo is making gobbla in particular look more high contrast than he actually is.

I will have a play with my camera settings for the next one.

Another chime in here with \"great job\" and \"ooh, shiny!\" -- I think it would benefit from a matte sealer coat. Overall I think that this is a fantastic model.

Can I be honest?! I really don\'t like this mini- but that\'s \'cause I\'m a girl and it\'s not my \'type\'!

Having said that... I\'d already voted on it from the perspective of the paint job, and gave it an 8.... I\'m fairly new to this and so maybe I\'m voting a bit high from what others here have said, but I thought it was a good job!
