ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE LOGGING IN?

It took me about 25 - 30 attempts to Log on yesterday to add my Ebay minis to the \" Featured Auction \" page.

I emailed The contact at the bottom of the page but, said my account was fine.

Today I was unable to log onto my account at all....

I can still post on the Forums but, have to log on each time to post or reply.

Still cannot access messages, add pics to Feature more auctions.

When I type my User ID & Password it just loads up the same screen...But im not logged in.

I have tried other routes but, The page just loads super slow & when finished There is a exclamation error type message in the bottom left of my screen.

If anyone has any insight I would be most grateful.

This has been reported a lot recently.
Best solution we can come up with is to Flush your Cache and Cookies and ensure that your Temp Internet Folders are set to empty on closing your web browser.
Might be policy to check your system defences as well.

Have you tried Firefox? or another browser as some people have reported no problems with Mozilla\'s product.

I\'m on Firefox and I\'ve been having the very same problem even though I have my settings rigged to clear the cache, cookies and temp files after every log-out. I had to act as a lurker yesterday and it horrified me! Like Severatus though, I can reply/respond to forum posts by adding my log-in and password, but whilst it accepts the post I can\'t remain logged in when the problem is a-doing. Today though, I\'m logged-in proper-like.

Oh Buggar there goes that idea!

Well I\'m looking at the problems from a Technical point of view and I\'m beginning to suspect a couple of things.
Either:-
a recent update from Microsoft/ java/ ActiveX is screwing things up on local machines.
a recent update from Microsoft/ java/ ActiveX is screwing things up on the server.
there\'s a flaw in the coding on one of the ads that is causing the issue.
the local Security settings on your machines are responding to a percieved threat and blocking access.

Trouble is that I\'m working in the \"blind\" here as I\'ve (Touch Wood) not had any problems with my or alternate machines.

For me it depends on where I log-on. If I am at home I use Firefox and it will log on ok. However if I try to use firefox at work then I can\'t log on and have to do it for each post. However if I use IE at work then I have no problem.

I never logout correctly but just shut down the browser so maybe that has something to do with it and why Firefox wont let me login in two different locations...

Thanks for the advice you guys got me thinking about the security so I tweeked my options with pop ups & I held the control while logging on from my Forum & was able to get to me Add/remove pics to feature some minis.

Thanks again for the heads up :)

Hope it gets easier from here

Yeah, I\'m experiencing this problem now; I can\'t log in except to post messages and I can\'t change from this (IMHO) horrible white scheme:(

This problem started for me yesterday as well from home.....

I use Firefox, and it recently did a \'self-update\' and now I cannot log on.

If I go to IE, no troubles.

I had trouble over the weekend, but with the state this laptop is in (its my fathers, and he knows jack about computers, no virus protection, all kinds of silly things) and the trouble we have been having with the connection here, I think its just been that.

However, I had the same symptoms, would bring up the log in details page, and accepted that, but wouldnt load up the black screen.

I have been Able to log in again by, loosening up \" Pop up \" restrictions & holding control while clicking to sign in & open links.

Does not allways work the first time but, usually after a few tries.

I had this problem. I solved it by explicitly adding coolmini.com to the list of trusted sites in explorer and by removing all cookies in Firefox.

Now, when I try to access through my work computer then, sometimes hospital security blocks certain banners. In this case, reloading the page in a minute or two often helps.
