Anyone ever used Derivan minis?

Hey. I\'m an aussie, as I\'ve said before. It has it\'s moments. For example, there\'s a line of Australian made paints that got released I think about a year/eighteen months back. Info on them is Here

I\'d like to try them for a couple of reasons:

1) Australian made.

2) 36ml bottle versus GW 12ml and Vallejo 17ml. 3 times as much paint for 60 cents more.

The other reasons are all in the company brochures, so I don\'t quite trust them. That and the only testimonials I could find were from people who have a vested interest in seeing them succeed. I did find one reviewer who liked them, but one isn\'t quite enough.

So, anyone used these? If so, did you like them? enough to buy them again?

Never heard of them until now.
But my question is this what have you got to loose?
Buy a few bottles and give them a try then you can do a proper assessment for the rest of CMON\'ers down under.

Yep. I think it was Mick C22 who was going to flog these. They sounded spot on, but the last I heard about it was months ago....

The nozzles are cool on \'em too - those twist and seal jobs - no lids. They also do drying retarder, irridescent medium and an ink medium. Big pots of black and white would be well useful. Buy some and let us know what you think;)

Hrm. It\'s a 16 km round trip to get them, into a dodgy part of town, on a sunday, and I don\'t even know if the shop is open. I think I\'ll do it tomorrow, if it\'s okay with all of you.

The other thing that really gets me interested in these is that they\'re put out by an art supply company. My elder sister paints in acrylics, and I think she likes the mattisse line. I\'ve done some searching on these forums about them, but there\'s not that much about.

The plus side is that as a member of another forum, I can get the entire set delivered for $360. the vallejo game colour set would cost me about $400.

These are looking really nice from what\'s on their site anyway. I\'ll have to try a few of these puppies.

Hope we get some reports in on them soon...cause I have ADD or something similar...I cant wait! lol

.......only problem is I\'ll need a couple of thousand £\'s to import the range here, they are keen to have a UK outlet though

I have a couple bottles I won in Jason\'s Chick Challenge, but I\'ve only managed to use one, and that only once. It seemed as good as anything else, but I\'m not sure I like the bottle. I can\'t ever feel as though I have it closed enough.
