I was inspired to do this thread after reading another thread that is circulating for the moment.

So have any of you heard of a famous person who collects miniatures? :)

I assume you mean famous to the general public and not just famous among mini painters! lol

In that case, no... :(

Maybe not VERY famous, but...

... one of the bigger names in the grindcore genre in the nineties were called Bolt Thrower and had WH40K motifs on some of their records sleeves (which would imply they were familiar with the game and miniatures). I think they had permission from GW to use the name and the pictures on the sleeves, but were sued when they used the same motifs on T-shirts...

Vin Diesel (sp?) is a major D&D player. Some of his tattoos are names of his characters. As to how much mini painter/collecter he is - don\'t know.

Famous fantasy author Wolfgang Hohlbein collects miniatures (he has lots of them!) and plays tabletops. And so does Bill Roper, if I remember correctly...

Peter Jackson apparently has a massive miniature collection, i don\'t think he games, since he dosen\'t have too much free time, but i remeber seeig his sculpting lesson with the perry twins (i think) i\'ll ask him about it the next time i talk to him.
