Granddad!
.......specifically on a Rover 214 SLi M(\'95) reg
I had to recharge the battery and when I replaced it on the car the alarm/immobiliser activated, and now it won\'t turn off with the either the key or remote/fob thingy
I\'ve even replaced the battery in the fob just in case
:(:(:(

If you shoot them in the radiator with a 12 ga. the owners learn to not set off the alarms at all hours of the night.

Cut the battery cable?
Find the speaker and remove it.

Ahh, you said defenseless, not useless.

I still need to be able to drive it tho Joe

I\'ve had a lot of advice from the Rover forum, however it seems the usual fixes don\'t appear to be working on my car......
.......bloody typical!!

Judging from your avatar Mick, you don\'t need no stinking car.

Just ride your horse. They have a built in alarm system. And they have like a 1hp motor!!lol
