hey guys and girls,

i dont post here too often, but i thought id throw this up as its something im painting up for fun. The base shown isnt the one he is actually gonna be on and ive made a shisha for him (which isnt full constructed on the model)

here he is so far :)

thanks for the kind words :), i did sculpt the turbin and the trousers. the little medallion/pin in the turbin is brass etch as is the leather strap going over his shoulder. ive just made a start on the trousers so hopefully ill have an update later on.

thanks again

I think my favorite bit so far is his eyes. He's got a very intense stare....and although I think the skin is well done, it doesn't (not trying to sound racist here) scream 'middle eastern' to me. Maybe a bit of a swarthier color would sell it better.

You should post more too!

I like this one very much. Excellent skin colour and a very nice converting.

Please sho us the finished model!

if he's that pale, i would add some red to his shoulders to make him look a little sunburnt! looks great so far

The skin on this is really good - although i don't think it looks quite middle eastern, i'd echo freakinacage's suggestion of adding a little red and big props for the turban.

The paint's going on really nicely there Monkeyman :good: His shoulder strap doesn't look, from the front, as though it's taking any weight thought, I don't know if there's room for a tweak at this stage?

Keep up the good work :)

Cheers, B.
