Archaon on foot. Is it horny enough?

Hi there! I am painting an Archaon on foot as a commission. Here's the first picture, in wich you can see the NMM gold on the helmet and the handle of the sword, the green gen on its forehead and the horns:

Now, the horns. Do you people like this kind of horns (Obviously I'm talking about right one)? Do you preffer these stripped horns to the regular ones? Which technique do you use to paint horns and fangs?

I don't care about horns, personally. There's so many different types of horns on things, it's hard to get it wrong, especially when you add in all the "fantasy" creatures. I'd imagine people might have a preference due to their location and/or their interests. Like, if they have a thing for a certain type of horned animal. But anyway, my point is, I care more about how well the choice of horn design is represented with the paint. That looks quite good to me. I might lengthen the transition a bit, if it appears a little too abrupt in the hand.
