Well what do you know? Ive won the over 16\'s single mini and overall catagories.This was at Darlington GW. Ive heard tell the prize is a day out at GW HQ.

One note though,why has the mini had 150 views and only 18 votes.Is this to do with having to register to vote or do most people just not bother??

Despite my saying that I wasn\'t going to enter I actually ended up sticking a figure in.
Well It won the Warhammer single figure competition and I got a certificate...........And you\'re going to Warhammer world? ????????? OK!
Ah well I don\'t mind, you deserve the victory, enjoy the day out!
As for the voting, meh who knows with people, it\'s par for the course on here. At least they are looking and not sniping..........sssshhhhh don\'t give them ideas! lol
OMG, that sword has to be THE best i\'ve seen on Archaon. In fact it\'s probably the best flame effect I\'ve seen in a long time (since the WD chaos banner competition). I think the sword just looks awsome, like it\'s showing it\'s bearer the hellish demension beyond the chaos gate.
I love the cape too, It adds to the whole near deamon look, and I love too see something that\'s not cliche. How much better can you get than those flesh tones!wouldn\'t change a thing.

mickc22,I nearly didnt make it.The staff guy at the shop told me to bring the mini along saturday.So Im sitting at home saturday morning with no transport.So I ring the shop and lo and behold the minis have been handed in all week and it has to be there before noon.I managed in the end but it was close.Worth the trouble though.

Just saw the post, my god what a great-looking horse! The shading is fantastic it really looks realistic!
I\'m about to embark on a big bretonnian army painting project and i was wondering how you achieved that lovely shading effect on the horse? It really looks fluffy!
Progressive layering or wet blending? All my horses turn out flat !

check out the fluffy wolfen article by kittykat23uk.This is the technique used.
The horse I did had a graveyard earth base.Then I layered up progresively adding bleached bone.But instead of solid layers use the brush stroke fluffy puppy thing.The face got some solid highlights cos it wouldnt be rough like the coat in real life.I think the effect turned out as I wanted.Sort of rough coated if you know what I mean.I do.

You could have seen the entries in the backroom of the shop.They didnt even display them.I didnt get to see them! I mentioned this to the only staff guy to talk to me when i picked up the mini and certificate and he said there was no room for a display.I said they could have cleared theirs off the cabinets!Including a balrog with the flames painted in reverse.lol
